Jansy Acquires CTi and Asia Pack

In April 2018 Jansy completed the acquisition of CTi, a San Francisco based packaging company focused on the beauty industry. With a production office in southern China and fulfilment partners in LA and DC, the acquisition not only extends Jansy’s US and China footprints but brings a list of high profile brand names to Jansy’s expanding client list.

CTi’s managing partner, Tom Finnegan and operations director, Kingston Ku both joined the Jansy team in April. Tom will head up the San Francisco office and Kingston joins as Managing Director of the China office and head of production for the Jansy group. The CTi team bring more than 40 years of packaging experience to the Jansy group and with facilities in LA and DC, improved kitting and pack out capabilities.

‘The time was right to join forces with a larger company’ explained Tom Finnegan ‘we have worked hard over the years and built a very successful business working with brands such as Kat Von D, Marc Jacobs and Sephora but Jansy will significantly improve our design and manufacturing capabilities and open up new opportunities with our existing customers for primary packaging as well as blending and filling. Essentially we can now provide our customers with a full ‘turnkey’ service’

‘Design and engineering are the cornerstones of the Jansy success. Being able to get creative solutions that are manufacturable will be a game changer for us. The Jansy design team based in our California office are amongst the most talented creatives I have ever worked with. It’s one thing to get good creative but altogether different to have designs created that you know can be produced without wholesale modifications or hikes in cost.’

‘We can now have discussions with our customers one day and samples in their hands the next, artwork can be modified quickly, and pre-production samples complete in just a couple of weeks. Our clients are looking to us for speed of service, for innovation and for faultless execution. That’s why the Jansy acquisition made so much sense’

‘The time was right to join forces with a larger company’ explained Tom Finnegan ‘we have worked hard over the years and built a very successful business working with brands such as Kat Von D, Marc Jacobs and Sephora but Jansy will significantly improve our design and manufacturing capabilities...'

‘This is our second acquisition in the past eighteen months’ explained Jansy CEO, Brad Zaikov. CTi were the perfect add on for us, not only due to their northern California location, but in Tom and Kingston we get the benefit of many years of experience. Knowledge is everything in this business. Most of the projects we work on have multiple moving parts, whether it’s helping to develop a fine fragrance, engineering precision injection molded parts or managing colour across different substrates – it’s the collective experience of our talented team that keeps us ahead of the curve and ready for the next challenge.’

‘The Jansy team is multi-facetted. We are as comfortable developing and managing the production of multi-sku branded beauty programs as we are supporting the needs of consumer electronics start-ups. We cross pollinate ideas from different industries and bring a freshness to both the retail and e-commerce markets. It’s our willingness to look beyond the obvious that translates so well to our production capabilities. We’re ‘material neutral’, meaning that we are as comfortable manufacturing in paper and polymers as we are with glass or molded fibres. We find the right substrate for each project and have the experience and technical understanding to bring products quickly and efficiently to market.’

‘With our team in China now headed up by Kingston Ku, a new production office located in Changping and a network of manufacturing partners in China, Vietnam and across the US, the future for Jansy looks very bright’
