Develop a custom bottle and cap for essential oils that were different from the standard bottles that most essential oil companies use. Atmos was creating a premium experience and the bottles needed to reflect this.

Our first main challenge was working with tube glass instead of traditional oil bottles. Tube glass is thinner and is made with a different manufacturing process. So before getting too far we had to test these style of bottles and make sure there were no issues.

Second was helping to develop the PE plug that went into the bottle and held a cotton wick. This required multiple rounds of designs and prototyping to make sure this plug was long enough to snuggly fit inside the bottle neck while also having enough surface area to support the wick and keep it standing straight up. We also had to account for airflow through the plug and tested various amounts of holes to see what helped the best while also preventing any leakage.

For the cap, we had to engineer it so that there was enough space for the wick to fit inside without getting crushed or damaged. We also had to make sure it closed tight enough to seal against the PE plug to prevent any leaking. We added the brand logo as a deboss to the top of the cap as well for a more custom finish.

The final bottles had an acid etch frosted finish with direct silk screen print. The result was aminimal, frosted and premium feeling bottle.
